BURNA BOY Emerged a Two-Time Consecutive Winner at the BET Awards (READ)

The Annual BET awards which celebrates black creative expression and black excellence across; Television, Film, Music, Sport & Philanthropy held its first-ever virtual ceremony due to the ongoing Corona Virus Pandemic last Sunday night.

Nigeria’s  Burna Boy & Marvin’s Record Rema both got nominated in various categories but only Burna emerged winner in his Best International Act Category which he also won in 2019 making him a two-time consecutive winner.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rema on the other hand who got a nomination in the Viewer’s Choice Best International Act Category Lost to Zimbabwean Singer SHA SHA.

During the three-hours show which was also the 20th Anniversary of the prestigious award, Beyoncé who won the award for BET HER AWARD for her song ‘BrownSkin Girl’ was also honored with the BET Humanitarian Award while French Anti-Racism activist Assa Tra oré was honored with the BET International Global Good Award.
