Afrimma Awards 2020: Burna Boy, Omah Lay, Timaya, Leriq make Nominees list

The year 2020 is winding to a close and with it comes the Award giving season.

The African Muzik Magazine Awards recently released its nominees list and it can be said to be chanting the words “South-south to the world” The nominees list which features 27 categories has Burna boy leading with 8 nominations whilst Timaya, Leriq and breakout artiste Omah Lay are seen following close behind.

Omah Lay who only recently came to limelight and has never been nominated for an award is featured alongside other African Acts in the “Best Newcomer Category”. The dance hall king Timaya has also successfully snagged himself a nomination in the category “Best Music Video” for his hit single ‘BORN TO WIN’ while music producer Leriq was with no surprise nominated for “Producer of the Year”.
