According to the CEO Isaac Utere Foundation and Convener of the Entertainment Advancement Awards (EAA), Isaac Utere father of award winning producer Leriq, all is set for the Maiden edition of the award which has been dedicated to celebrating brilliant creatives in the Entertainment industry.
The importance of EAA, he said, derives from the fact that creatives are the bedrock of the Entertainment industry.
‘’Without them we wouldn’t have the products that we have in the entertainment industry. We felt that it is important that we project these great talents that are often neglected in the alternative industry here in the south south, and that is why the EAA was initiated,’’ he said.
The Entertainment Advancement Awards 2021, which was conceived as part of a holistic strategy to generate excitement and interest in the entertainment industry here in the south-south is set to hold at the Amas Event Center on 11th April 2021 showcasing over 1,000 artisans from all states in the south-south and cutting across all sectors of the entertainment industry.
Speaking on the progress so far, Mr Isaac Utere said it has been very rapid.
‘’The creation of the stage and the handcrafting of the awards has been amazing, the young people under me have put in a lot of work to make sure the we achieve excellence on that day. This first edition is going to be impactful and phenomenal. Now that we have sensitized the creatives and talents why we are trying to bring them in; to standardise their efforts and take their level of competence higher through the certification & awards that will be given to them.’’
The Award also offers to be a record breaking event, by awarding over 1,000 creatives in entertainment industry . This award is divided into three(3) categories, which are; the Young-trailer blazers Category, the Post humous Category and the Pacesetting veterans category, categories created to recognize and celebrate entertainers and creatives within these different classifications both living and dead.
The goal of the EAA is to showcase and encourage the young and upcoming creatives in the Entertainment industry and to celebrate them.
